LI.F.E. (Lockbox Intervention Forbids Entry) Sentinel System™ was developed by a husband and wife Realtor® team.

With a combined 40 years of experience, they had seen it all, from using 3 x 5 cards for property information...to property books...to the internet; from going to one listing office to another listing office to pick up keys for the properties you wanted to show, to our very sophisticated lockboxes we are using today.

No question--today's systems are much better!

However, our easy access to property information, even as we are just driving by a property with a client, and a lockbox ready and waiting for us with a key for the front door, is almost a recipe for some unfortunate entries into homes when the seller doesn't want it shown at that time. Instructions for showing the properties may not be clear, they may not be read carefully (or at all), or enthusiasm to show a property simply overcomes good sense.

This was the basis for the development of the L.I.F.E. (Lockbox Intervention Forbids Entry) Sentinel System™. The goal is to provide the residents with a greater ability to control the times when a lockbox may be used, and when they prefer that it is not. The developers have always felt that as Realtors® we owe our clients the highest level of service we are able to provide, and certainly consideration for the privacy of the residents of the property is part of that service.
